Rowanberry Jelly

Rowanberry Jelly is a very sharp flavoured jelly and is the traditional accompaniment to venison and is also excellent with cold game and fowl. The Rowan, or Mountain Ash, grows in the woods, scrubland and by our mountain rocks and burns. The berries are gathered in August and September, they contain large amounts of vitamin, organic acid and tannins.
